Diocese offering Mass, anointing for World Day of the Sick

The Diocese of Honolulu, with the support of the Order of Malta, will celebrate Mass for the World Day of the Sick, at 6 p.m., Feb. 11, in the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace. Bishop Larry Silva will preside at the liturgy which will include the sacrament of the anointing of the sick.

Get your Fat Tuesday malassadas at Damien or St. Joseph, Maui

Fat Tuesday malassadas will be available at a couple of schools this year, one on Oahu and one on Maui. The presale deadline is Feb. 1 for the very popular Damien Memorial School’s malassadas sale. The cost is $6 for a half dozen, $12 for a dozen.

Mass, commemorative book to bring consecrated life year to a close

The Diocese of Honolulu will celebrate the closing of the Year of Consecrated Life, Feb. 6, at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa in Honolulu with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Larry Silva and the release of a new book chronicling the observance of this special year in Hawaii.
