A group of Buddhist, Shinto and Catholic ministers from Japan, called the Japan Religious Committee for the World Federation, paid a courtesy visit to the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace Dec. 4. They were greeted by Hawaii Marianist Father Francis Nakagawa, center, who represented Bishop Larry Silva. The Catholic participant who is also the group’s leader is the Rev. Chitoshi Noshita of Nagasaki. This was the 33rd visit to Hawaii of the interfaith group to participate in Dec. 7 Pearl Harbor memorial ceremonies.
