The Dominican Sisters accept the administration of St. Joseph School, Makawao, Maui.

Two groups of sisters arrive on Kauai to staff St. Catherine School, Kapaa, and Holy Cross School, Kalaheo.

Hawaii was formally established as a region of the Philippines-based order.
1976
Four Dominican Sisters take over the administration of St. John the Baptist School in Kalihi from the Maryknoll Sisters.

The Hawaii region branches out to the Bay Area to staff St. Charles School in San Francisco.

Bishop Joseph A. Ferrario blesses the new Dominican Center and vocation house in Waipio.

The sisters open Rosary Pre-School at the Dominican Center location.

Sister Malia Dominica Wong of Kailua, Oahu, makes her final profession. She remains the only Hawaii vocation.
1991
Holy Cross School in Kalaheo closes.
1992
The sisters staff St. Finn Barr School in San Francisco.
2000
The sisters leave St. Catherine School, Kapaa, but go to Colma, Calif., to staff Holy Angels School.
2003
The Dominican Sisters leave St. Finn Barr School in San Francisco.
2009
St. Joseph School in Makawao becomes a lay-run early learning center.
2013
The congregation opens the House of Aloha skilled nursing facility in Waianae.
