If you’re looking for locally made and sustainable gifts for your holiday purchases this year, Chaminade University of Honolulu is holding a CUH Fall Open Marketplace on Nov. 15.
The market is from 11-1:30 p.m. on the Zuberano Lawn and Student Center on the Kaimuki campus.
The event’s goal is to promote a sustainable campus. Attendees can drop off items to be donated to a local shelter, buy “campus made, campus inspired” products, and up-cycle refurbished or repurposed items for a fair price.
Items being sold include reef-safe sunscreen, Hawaiian plants coasters, notecards, printed tote bags, Marianist-inspired stationery, and “WE ARE” T-shirts. You can also pre-order items to pick up at the event at tinyurl.com/2yz339py.
The marketplace also will be selling food from Luau Bombs, Dragon Boy Oahu (Thai barbecue) and Punchies Shave Ice.
The event is sponsored by Chaminade’s Center for Teaching and Learning and Campus Ministry.
Questions can be sent to Sister Malia Dominica Wong at mwong2@chaminade.edu.
