Festive Spirit Marks Formal Blessing of Lahaina School
When [Sacred Hearts School] was destroyed last August, there were those who wrote off the school and said that it should be abandoned. The people of Lahaina refused to accept this verdict. The fact that the school will open this fall with the highest number of students in recent years is a living testimony to the faith and determination of those who devoted themselves to this project.

Healing body, mind and spirit
My, how you’ve grown! Only four-years-old and already the St. Francis Parish Nurse program has expanded from one nurse with two parishes to five nurses serving nine parishes. And there are another three parishes waiting in the wings.
The latest parishes to offer this fast-growing holistic healing ministry are St. Philomena in Salt Lake, St. Augustine in Waikiki and St. Elizabeth in Aiea. … the purpose of the program is to educate, assist and empower people to manage their own health.

To the south are craggy cliffs that descend breathtakingly — and sometimes scarily — thousands of feet into the Pacific Ocean.
