Twelve Hawaii Catholic schools this coming school year are offering free milk and free and reduced price meals for children unable to pay the full price under the Special Milk Program, National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program and Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Application forms are being sent to parents or guardians. Children from households whose income is at or below certain levels are eligible for free milk or free or reduced price meals.
The schools have a copy of the policy and instruction on how to fill out the forms which must be returned to the school. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
The participating Catholic Schools are as follows:
On Oahu: St. Ann Early Learning Center, Kaneohe; St. John Vianney School, Kailua; St. Philomena Early Learning Center, Honolulu; Star of the Sea Early Learning Center, Honolulu.
On the Big Island: St. Joseph Elementary School, Hilo; St. Joseph Montessori-based Preschool, Hilo; St. Joseph Jr./Sr. High School, Hilo.
On Kauai: St. Catherine School, Kapaa; St. Theresa School, Kekaha.
On Maui: Christ the King Child Development Center, Kahului; Sacred Hearts School, Lahaina; St. Anthony Grade School, Wailuku; St. Anthony Pre-School, Wailuku.
