“Stewardship of Evangelization,” by Dominic Olaso, head servant, Diocesan Evangelization Task Force. Description: Our Confirmation calls us to bring others to Jesus. Many Catholics want to spread the faith, but don’t know where to start. Eight practical beatitudes will provide the inspiration to initiate evangelization.
“Parish Center Projects — Build New or Re-Do,” by Mike Browning, deacon candidate and good steward. Description: Browning leads a panel of lay leaders from other parishes who share what they learned from major building projects, with special highlights and features of St. John Parish’s new One Community Center.
“Communication is the Key,” small group discussion. Description: Keith Tamashiro, chairman, Diocesan Stewardship and Development Commission, and other stewardship leaders will share best practices for starting, maintaining, and enhancing parish stewardship efforts. This workshop is targeted to pastors and stewardship committees.
The event ends with a closing prayer followed by a possible bonus workshop.
Stewardship Day is sponsored by the Diocesan Office of Stewardship and Development and the Stewardship and Development Commission, with support from With Grateful Hearts and the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation.
