Peaceful invasion

The invasion was a quiet event for teachers who spend much of their lives trying to be heard above the din of restless students in a classroom.
Bishop Scanlan, right, a most surprised individual, stood on the porch of his home to listen to the Christmas carols of the nuns, who took this step to express their “Merry Christmas” to the Bishop from all the religious working within the diocese of Honolulu.
