New parish community to hold town meeting to discuss future
The newly formed St. Jude Church in Makakilo is already showing that its parishioners have the strength and enthusiasm to stand on their own. The parish community, which was a mission of Immaculate Conception Church in Ewa since 1985, will hold a town meeting on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Makakilo Recreation Center, following the Distribution of Ashes at 7 p.m.
The purpose of the town meeting, sponsored by the parish’s ad hoc committee for planning and renewal, is to provide a forum for the community’s concerns, visions and needs to plan for the parish’s future.
