The Hawaii Catholic Herald is back online.
After about a year lost behind some cyberspace cloud, www.hawaiicatholicherald.com is again an existing and accessible destination.
The Hawaii Catholic Herald site went down last year due to unknown factors. The new site was created fresh by Herald staffer Darlene Dela Cruz. It now has local material from the last five issues. The Herald hopes to upload past issues as new editions are posted to build a large archive of stories.
The site is clean and easily navigated. Stories can be searched, printed and shared. The website also has links to the Herald’s Twitter, Facebook, blog and digital edition sites.
As a bonus, the site also has a daily video feed from Catholic News Service offering up- to-the-minute stories from the Vatican, Washington, D.C., among other places. It also has a daily list of Catholic News Service headlines linking to full stories from around the world.
The Hawaii Catholic Herald also has a digital version of the newspaper online at digital.hawaiicatholicherald.com.
The digital edition is a reproduction of the paper in full color available on computers, digital tablets and smart phones. Readers can “flip” through the pages, zoom in on stories, search for words and phrases, print out full pages and view previous issues.
