Announcements/Appointments
- The Presbyteral Council of the Diocese of Honolulu has elected the following priests as its Officers for 2016-2017: Reverend Konelio Faletoi, Chair; Reverend Pascual Abaya, Vice-Chair; Reverend Alapaki Kim, Secretary.
- Bishop Silva is pleased to announce that Reverend Edmundo N. Barut, Jr., until now a priest of the Diocese of Bangued, Philippines, was incardinated into the clergy of the Diocese of Honolulu on September 11, 2016. On the same day, his status was changed from Administrator to Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Ewa Beach.
- Bishop Silva is pleased to announce the change in status for Reverend Paulo Kosaka, OFM Cap., in light of the new contract between the Diocese of Honolulu and the Provincial Custody of Star of the Sea of the Order of Friars Minor, Capuchins, from Administrator to Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Waikane.
- Bishop Silva has appointed Reverend Konelio Faletoi as Chaplain of the Samoan Catholic Communities in Hawaii, in addition to his assignment as Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Kailua-Kona.
- Bishop Silva has confirmed the appointment of Reverend Augustine Uthuppu, M.S. as Pastor of Christ the King Parish, Kahului, effective October 3, 2016.
