Hawaii’s 43rd annual Rally and March for Life will take place Jan. 22, 2:30-7 p.m. at the State Capitol.
This year’s theme, adapted from National March for Life, is “Pro-Life + Woman Go Hand-in-Hand.”
The event marks the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court Roe vs. Wade decision that resulted in abortion on demand across the country.
Sponsoring the rally and march is Aloha Life Advocates, formerly Hawaii Right to Life. Co-sponsors include Hawaii Family Forum, the Diocese of Honolulu Respect Life Office, Aloha Pregnancy Care and Counseling Center and the Pearson’s Foundation.
The event will include sign-holding and waving, prayers, inspirational talks, music and the traditional march around the capitol block.
Entertainment will be provided by Victory Outreach, the Anointed One, Hawaii Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services, Shanita Akana and Cynthia Milles.
“It is important to recognize and to commemorate the lives that have been lost and the families affected by abortion over the decades,” said Deacon Kin Borja, president of Aloha Life Advocates.
