Holy Trinity Church in Kuliouou is among the parishes nationwide that will be participating in the Eucharistic Rosary Congress, which runs Oct. 3-9.
During that seven-day span, parishes across the United States will pray the rosary and take part in Eucharistic adoration in response to Our Lady of Fatima’s call to conversion, consecration and prayer.
Holy Trinity has committed to a six-hour time slot on Oct. 5 — starting at 11 a.m., attendees will pray the rosary at the top of every hour and spend time in Eucharistic adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The period will end with Mass at 5 p.m.
People are invited to stay for an hour or however long their schedule permits. Your time and prayer will be a beautiful offering for continued conversion, spiritual renewal and to foster a prayer life for a deeper relationship with Jesus.
The Eucharistic Rosary Congress’ roots lie in Poland, where the first seven-day period of prayer was held in 1979 as Pope John Paul II worked to arrange a visit to his homeland.
One of the Poland attendees brought the practice to the U.S. in 1988. The first rosary congress was held at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., and it has gradually expanded across the country since then.
