St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Kapaa, Kauai, joyfully congratulated Donald and Loretta Boro of St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea, on Aug. 16 as they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary during the 7 a.m. Mass.
Despite the stormy conditions brought by Tropical Storm Lala, Donald and Loretta were surrounded by the love of many family members as they gave thanks to God for the tremendous blessing of 68 years of married life. A small fellowship followed the Mass in their honor.
The Boros were married at St. Sylvester Church on Aug. 16, 1958 — the very church where, 68 years later, they gathered again to celebrate this beautiful milestone.
Donald and Loretta are truly pillars of the parish and Kilauea community and a wonderful witness to the vocation of Christian marriage.
Congratulations, Donald and Loretta! May God continue to bless you with many more happy, healthy and loving years together!
