The Catholic Men’s Fellowship of Hawaii is preparing to host its fifth annual Catholic Men’s Conference this month, not long after the tragic and unexpected passing of the organization’s chair, Ron Gochenouer.
Many attendees will surely keep Gochenouer in mind, honoring his legacy of bringing to Hawaii nationally recognized leaders in ministry to men, during the conference, which will take place Aug. 22 at St. John Vianney Church in Kailua.
This year’s featured speaker is Bart Schuchts, a nationally recognized lay evangelist and founder of Church On Fire who travels across the country to share the healing and transformative love of God.
Also speaking will be Dallas Carter, a prominent local educator, school administrator and small-business owner who also is president of EPIC Ministry. Carter’s work as a Catholic apologist and speaker has been featured in outlets such as EWTN, Relevant Radio, Catholic News Agency and The New York Times.
The conference will begin with a rosary at 7:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 8 a.m. The conference officially begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Registration is $40, and is free for attendees ages 18 and younger.
