The Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines concluded their regional chapter meeting June 30, during which a new leadership team was elected to serve from 2026-30.
Sister Delia Obenza will serve as regional superior; Sister Alma Amancio was elected first councilor; Sister Oliva Fuentes will serve as second councilor; Sister Malia Dominica Wong was named third councilor and secretary; and Sister Cecilia Fabular will serve as fourth councilor and treasurer.
On June 27, the Dominican Sisters celebrated the jubilees of two members — Sister Leonarda Montealto, marking 60 years of profession, and Sister Alma Arcenal, marking 20 years of profession — during a special Mass at Resurrection of the Lord Church in Waipio Gentry.
Sister Montealto and Sister Arcenal reaffirmed their vows before Mother Daral, assisted by Sister Obenza, and were feted at a reception after the liturgy.
