Bishop’s schedule [Attended by bishop’s delegate]

  • June 6, 5 p.m., Mass with confirmation and first holy Communion, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Wahiawa. [Msgr. Gary Secor]
  • June 7, 5 p.m., Mass with confirmation and first holy Communion, Sacred Heart Church, Punahou. [Msgr. Gary Secor]
  • June 10-12, spring special assembly of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Orlando, Florida.
  • June 13, 4 p.m., Mass with confirmation and first holy Communion; blessing of altar for parish hall; and Installation of Father Falaniko Atonio as pastor of Malia Puka O Kalani Church, Keaukaha.
  • June 14, 10 a.m., confirmation and first holy Communion, Sacred Hearts Church, Lanai City.

Bishop’s announcements and appointments

  • Very Rev. Lane Akiona, SS.CC., has proposed the appointment of Rev. Quy Duc Tran, MSC (Missionaries of the Sacred Heart), as parochial vicar of St. Patrick Church, Honolulu, and Bishop Silva has approved this appointment, effective July 1, 2026.
  • The diocesan offices will be closed on Thursday, June 11, in observance of King Kamehameha Day.
  • The diocesan offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
