Maui Council of Filipino Catholic Clubs installs new leadership teams

The Maui Council of Filipino Catholic Clubs installed its new administrative officers and committee chairpersons for the 2026-27 term Feb. 7 in a ceremony at Christ the King Church in Kahului.

La Salette Father Efren Tomas, spiritual director of the council, presided over the ceremony.

The new officers are:

  • Lorenzo Magana, president
  • Dector Torricer, Marie Gazmen, Lolita Eugenio and Andrea Valite, vice presidents
  • Marie Gazmen, recording secretary
  • Trixie Galam, corresponding secretary
  • Camille Serrano, treasurer

The new committee chairpersons are:

  • Marie Gazmen and Camille Serrano, organization and membership
  • Andrea Valite, Marie Gazmen, Dector Torricer and Lolita Eugenio, ways and means
  • Lucila Cuomo and Merlina Valdez, aloha and hospitality
  • Andrea Valite and Dector Torricer, vocation
  • Tanya Barbero and Madelyn Pascual, publicity and Catholic press
  • Trixie Galam and Marlina Cachola, constitution and bylaws
  • Sydney Villegas and Marlina Cachola, information and education
  • Emmie Magana, social ministry
  • Lolita Eugenio, renewal
  • Ben Malonzo Jr., legislative
  • Marie Gazmen, Melinda Piano and Father Tomas, awards
  • Trixie Galam, Rickey Villegas and Jansen Valite, newsletter

The council continues its mission to strengthen faith, unity and cultural heritage among Filipino Catholics across Maui through prayer, service and community outreach.
