Bishop’s announcements and appointments
- Bishop Silva announces the incardination of Father Anselmo R. Bobier Jr. (aka Father Jun) into the clergy of the Diocese of Honolulu, effective Feb. 2, the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. He was formerly a priest of the Diocese of Legazpi, Philippines. Bishop Silva also has changed Father Bobier’s status from administrator to pastor of St. Mary Church, Hana, Maui, effective Feb. 2.
- Bishop Silva announces the appointment of Malcolm Zara to a second term as a member of the Augustine Educational Foundation, effective Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2028.
- Bishop Silva announces the election by the members of the Augustine Educational Foundation of the following to serve on the board of directors from Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2028: Dr. David Coleman; Mr. Rick Stack; Msgr. Gary Secor.
- The diocesan offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
