Photo: Warm welcome

07/30/2025 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Members of the Sacred Hearts Academy Girls Scout Troop 614 and their leaders recently prepared and distributed welcome-home kits to children and mothers residing at The Shelter, a transitional housing facility program. The Scouts’ outreach motivated them to plan and coordinate an end-of-summer celebration for the families at Dave and Buster’s at Ala Moana Center on July 26. The day of fun events and activities was made possible by the generous assistance of local businesses and the donation of funds the troop raised from its annual cookie sale.
