The Diocese of Honolulu is once again participating in the annual Global Rosary Relay for the Sanctification of Priests, scheduled this year for June 27 — the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The event rallies locations around the world to pray the rosary “in thanksgiving to God for our priests and to implore the protection and loving care of Our Lady, mother of all priests, for all her priestly sons,” according to the relay’s website.
The Diocese of Honolulu is scheduled to recite the sorrowful mysteries starting at 11:30 a.m. The main location will be the Kamiano Center in downtown Honolulu, next to the under-renovation Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace.
The prayer will be livestreamed on the cathedral basilica’s Facebook page, and people are also invited to pray the sorrowful mysteries at any time June 27 for the sanctification of all priests; for wisdom, strength and comfort; and to give thanks to God for all priests do to support us.
