Photo: Fruitful fish fry at St. John Vianney

04/23/2025 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Knights of Columbus Council 6307 hosted another successful Lenten fish fry April 4 at St. John Vianney Church in Kailua, cooking up hundreds of pounds of fish, hush puppies and french fries for about 550 dine-in and drive-thru guests. Volunteers from St. John Vianney Church and School and St. Anthony Church and School, also in Kailua, assisted with the event. Proceeds raised from the fish fry will benefit students in financial need at both schools as well as the nonprofit organization Ho‘ola Na Pua. Above, volunteers assembled dinner plates in the drive-thru area of the fish fry. (Courtesy photo)
