Photo: Parishioners pray for sanctity of life

02/12/2025 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

As part of their weekly Encounter night, parishioners at St. John Apostle and Evangelist Church in Mililani led a candlelight procession Jan. 22 from the church’s courtyard to its Memorial of the Unborn, then held a prayer vigil. A statement on the 52nd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision by Toledo, Ohio, Bishop Daniel E. Thomas, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, was read during adoration, as was a litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary. (Courtesy photo)
