  • Jan. 9, 4 p.m., Ohana in Christ appreciation Mass and dinner, Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Honolulu.
  • Jan. 12, 11:15 a.m., Mass with the rite of institution of acolytes for deacon candidates of Cohort 11, St. Stephen Diocesan Center, Kaneohe; 3 p.m., Mass for the feast of the Santo Nino, Our Lady of the Mount Church, Kalihi.
  • Jan. 14, 9 a.m., Red Mass, Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, downtown Honolulu.

Bishop’s announcements

  • Bishop Silva has appointed Rev. Arrion Rosales-Llantos the parochial vicar of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Kailua, effective Feb. 1.
  • Bishop Silva has appointed Rev. Clement Beeri the parochial vicar of St. Elizabeth Church, Aiea, effective Feb. 1.
  • Michael Yee has been hired as the diocesan real estate director to replace Marlene DeCosta upon her retirement, effective Jan. 1.
  • Since Michael Yee will be a diocesan employee and can no longer serve on the Diocesan Finance Council, Bishop Silva has appointed Jaime Moses to fulfill the rest of his term on the Finance Council, effective Jan. 1, until Aug. 31, 2026.
