Photo: Academy students earn national recognition

12/18/2024 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Four students from Sacred Hearts Academy have been selected to represent Hawaii next year in the American Choral Directors Association’s National Honor Choir for boys and girls in grades 5-7. Emalani Burns, Bella Kuvac and Kyra Tong, class of 2031, and Taely-Rae Kuamoo-Rivera, class of 2032, were among nine students from across the state chosen for the choir. Nationwide, there were 5,000 applicants and 300 children were selected. The four Academy students were honored Nov. 25 during the school’s morning flag-raising and prayer.
