Bereavement ministry begins at Mary, Star of the Sea Parish

11/06/2024 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Special to the Herald

Mary, Star of the Sea Parish in Waialae-Kahala has a newly activated bereavement ministry that offers consolation and support to those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. The “Healing Hearts” ministry offers an opportunity to explore mourning after the death of a loved one through Scripture, prayer, reflection and faith sharing.

If you are coping with the loss of a loved one, we invite you to come to one, two or all of our sessions, which are open entry and available to everyone.

The Saturday sessions will take place from 1-3 p.m. on the parish activity center’s second floor. The remaining dates this year are Nov. 9, 16 and 23, and Dec. 7 and 14. To register or for more information, email Kanani at healingheartshawaii@gmail.com or call the parish office at (808) 734-0396.
