Worldwide Marriage Encounter, a faith-based marriage enrichment program, is offering a unique experience aimed at deepening the spiritual connection between married couples.
“God Chose You for Me” is a seven-hour program that will guide couples in creating a personal prayer that they can use as a daily practice to reinforce their commitment and spiritual bond. A priest or deacon, a married couple and a widow or widower will share their experiences of building strong spiritual foundations within their own marriages.
According to a press release, “God Chose You for Me” “is about discovering the profound truth that married couples become an actual manifestation of God’s love and Christ in this world through the way they love each other. Couples are called to recapture their initial desire for each other, revealing how this desire reflects his desire to be in a relationship with us.”
Father Larry Brault, an author of the program, said, “Once you have said ‘yes’ to the sacrament of matrimony, the primary way God calls you to him is through your married relationship.”
“God Chose You for Me” will take place Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holy Family Ohana Center, 511 Main St., near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The cost is $50 per couple.
