Local ministry to host 2 events

07/17/2024 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Hawaii Catholic Herald

A local independent ministry that helps guide people in their awareness of God’s love is planning two opportunities for people to gather in reflection and faith.

Scrub Bucket Gospel Ministries, which was founded in 2000 by Maxine Pollock and Pat Tom, offers presentations and retreats so that, according to its website, it can “help all know that his love is everlasting and that he is real.”

On Aug. 10, the group will hold a reflection titled “Even Your Worst Day, Count as Good” at St. Anthony Church in Kailua. The event will take place in St. Anthony’s day chapel from 9 to 11 a.m.

On Oct. 25-27, the ministry will hold a women’s contemplative retreat at St. Anthony Retreat Center in Kalihi titled “Journey into the Psalms.”

For more information on the retreat and to reserve a space, contact Pat Tom at patriciatom@hawaii.rr.com.
