Parish offers bereavement ministry

02/14/2024 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Mary, Star of the Sea Parish in Waialae-Kahala has newly activated its bereavement ministry offering consolation and support for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. “Healing Hearts” ministry provides participants an opportunity to explore mourning after the death of a loved one through Scripture, prayer, reflection and faith sharing.

If you are coping with the loss of a loved one, we invite you to come to one or all of our sessions. These sessions are open entry and available to all, so you may choose to attend one, two, or all of them.

There will be six consecutive two-hour sessions on Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. in the parish second floor activity center. Session dates are Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24, and March 2 and 9. The first two sessions will be held in the parish social hall.

To register, or for more information, email Kanani at healingheartshawaii@gmail.com.
