Fish fry funds tuition aid, helps sex trafficking victims

02/14/2024 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

The Knights of Columbus Council 6307 will be serving up beer-battered catfish at their famous annual Kailua “Best Fish Fry Ever” at St. Anthony Parish Hall on Makawao Street in Kailua on Friday March 8.

The fundraiser provides tuition assistance for students of St. John Vianney and St. Anthony Schools in Kailua, and support for Ho‘ola Na Pua, a local organization aimed at prevention of sex trafficking by helping women victims through health, education, advocacy and reintegration.

Come and enjoy the best fried fish you’ve ever had along with hush puppies, coleslaw, fruit and french fries. Grilled cheese sandwiches will be an option for kids who don’t like fish. (The menu is subject to minor changes.)

Drive thru pick up is 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dine in is 5-7:30 p.m.

The cost for adults is $20, and $10 for children 5-12. Children younger then 5 are free.

Tickets will be available Feb. 24 and 25 after all Masses at St. Anthony and St. John Vianney, 920 Keolu Drive in Kailua.

Or you can go to: buytickets.at/kofccouncil6307/1103927.

A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Business sponsorship opportunities are available at three levels. “Ahi” $200 comes with two tickets, “Ulua” $400 comes with four tickets, and “Kohola” $600 comes with six tickets.

Menu items, services and gift certificates of the same value will be accepted.

Sponsors will be able to talk with potential customers, hand out brochures and display their logos.
