Free, from the Carmelites, a new Stations of the Cross

01/31/2024 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Looking for a different way to pray the Way of the Cross this Lent? Consider “A Thorn in My Side,” a Way of the Cross written by the nuns at the Carmel of the Holy Trinity Carmelite Monastery on the Pali Highway.

The prayerbook is the result of a priest friend in 2020 urging the sisters to reflect deeply on their journey with Jesus and to create their own set of reflections. The result of their contemplation was “A Thorn in My Side.” This Way of the Cross is unique. It is the Stations of the Cross offered through the lens of prayers to encourage those with special needs.

It is a great reflective companion for anyone’s Lenten journey. The Carmelites are offering these Way of the Cross booklets free to individuals or groups. To receive copies call the Carmelite Monastery at (808) 261-6542, or email carith89@outlook.com, or write to Carmel of the Holy Trinity, 6301 Pali Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744.
