PLIGHT OF MIGRANT—A handicapped migrant farm worker in Florida hobbles along near his quarters. The state legislature recently cut rehabilitative services affecting such persons. If a migrant worker becomes permanently disabled, he can fall back on workmen’s compensation, lump sum payments based on job skills, age and earning capacity. Bishop Silva knighted in the Royal Order of Kamehameha
Bishop Larry Silva was made an honorary knight of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I on June 25 in a ceremony that brought Hawaii regal pageantry with Episcopalian touches into the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace.
About 150 people were in the cathedral to witness the ceremony, which began precisely at 6 p.m. with a brass fanfare.
