Evangelization is crucial in spreading the word of God, Father Ese’ese “Ace” Tui told members of the Filipino Catholic Clubs of Maui on April 29, at St. Theresa Church in Kihei, as he spoke at a workshop on evangelization and accompaniment.

Father Tui, parochial vicar at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku, emphasized the importance of evangelization in spreading the word of God. To do this, we must know what our Catholic faith is and that Jesus Christ is the center of it, he said.

Jeny Bissell commented that “we are rooted in the teaching of the Catholic faith, which helps us engage and inspire people. Our faith places Jesus Christ in the center of all our relationships with others.”

Trixie Galam and Lolita Eugenio both agreed that the holy Eucharist is an important source of our faith. Jeny and Trixie are members of the St. Theresa’s Filipino Catholic Club and Lolita is a member of St. Anthony’s Filipino Catholic Club.
