Several years ago, St. Anthony of Padua, Kailua, parishioner Louis (“Luigi”) Carnazzo, standing center, invited some of his church friends over to his house after daily Mass for breakfast, fellowship and faith sharing. The group has been gathering at “Luigi’s Bistro” ever since. In addition to sharing a meal and morning prayers, they also contribute to the “Bucks for Babies Bucket” that’s out at every get together. One hundred percent of the donations goes to Pearson Place Pregnancy Resource Center in Honolulu. The average monthly donation from the Bistro stands at $800. (Photo courtesy of Michael Weaver)
