Chaminade University of Honolulu will host its first Marianist lecture of 2023 on the topic of “A Life Worth Loving: How people of faith engage work, leisure and love.”
The Feb. 19 talk will be given by Anna Moreland, a theology professor and University Honors Program chair at Villanova University, who will look at “wellness strategies that allow emerging adults and the people who love them to live more fully and faithfully.”
Moreland is co-authoring an upcoming book, “Daring to Live: The Guide to a Meaningful Life,” that aligns with her lecture topic. Her research focuses on faith and reason, medieval theology with an emphasis on Thomas Aquinas, and comparative theology, particularly between Christianity and Islam.
The 4-6 p.m. lecture will be streamed online and also be open to the public in person at the Mystical Rose Oratory on Chaminade’s Kaimuki campus. For more information and to register go to chaminade.edu/mission-rector/marianist-lecture-series.
