Photo: Where’s Bishop?

11/23/2022 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Hawaii delegates to the National Catholic Youth Conference in Long Beach, California, Nov. 10-12, gather for a pre-flight photo with Bishop Larry Silva. Fifty-seven from Hawaii attended the event. Bishop Silva was the main celebrant for Mass on Nov. 11. His homily was “Fantastic!” said Lisa Gomes, director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Honolulu, who also attended. He also led eucharistic adoration for vocations on Friday, played jun ken po (rock, paper, scissors) at the Hawaii delegation gathering, and stayed up late hanging out in the hotel lobby with the youth. “He was a champ!” said Gomes.
