Photo: Cemetery blessing

11/09/2022 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Bishop Larry Silva reads a prayer over the graves in the historic King Street Catholic Cemetery in Honolulu on Nov. 2, All Souls Day. A handful of people joined the bishop for the prayers and blessing. Deacon Keith Cabiles, diocesan chancellor, said he hopes the blessing will be an annual event. The cemetery is the resting place of bishops, priests, sisters and lay Catholics buried in the late 1800s and early 1900s. (Photo courtesy of Dann Ebina)
