Hawaii residents recount how their lives were touched by the late Mother Teresa of Calcutta

University of Hawaii teacher Dagmar Sundberg, with emotion cracking in her voice, remembered exactly the first time she met Mother Teresa. It was at Calcutta Airport.

Mary and Rose

An unusual story, not well known, was Mother Marianne’s adoption of two healthy Japanese babies. They were the daughters of Kiyoji and Kishi Morita whom the Board of Health had hired to work in Kalaupapa for Mother Marianne.
