Photo: Remarkable illumination

08/03/2022 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Here is a photo taken by James Wallace of the sidewalk outside Planned Parenthood Hawaii June 5, Pentecost Sunday, showing a stunning beam of light shining on an eight-foot image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who tradition says is portrayed pregnant. Also caught in the shaft of light is a “Pray to End Abortion” sign and a box of holy water, salt, rosaries and pamphlets. The occasion of the photo was 40 Days for Life, a program that invites volunteer “prayer warriors” to pray for the women considering an abortion at the facility. The photo was submitted by Lleander Jung who called the image “miraculous,” and corresponding to the overturn of Roe v. Wade 19 days later. (Photo courtesy of James Wallace)
