The Ohana O Ke Anuenue Region of the Secular Franciscan Order elected its new ministers and officers for three-year terms May 22 at Holy Trinity Church in Honolulu.

Liz Ishimitsu was elected Regional Minister for her second term; Theresa Babauta from the new fraternity of Padre Pio, Guam, was chosen for her first term as vice minister.

Stan Nakamoto was elected for his first term as secretary, and Benjamin Diaz of Guam for his first term as treasurer.

Joann San Nicolas, also from Guam, was chosen for her first term as Formator.

Toni Rodrigues was picked as First Counselor, Candie Pinaula as Second Counselor, and James Doyle as Third Counselor.

The elections followed the Regional Visitation of Franciscan Father Christopher Panagoplos as the Friar Witness and Pastoral Visitor. Joshua Molidor presided over the elections, and was the Fraternal Visitor.

The Ohana O Ke Anuenue Region of the Secular Franciscan Order consists of six fraternities on four Hawaiian islands, plus the Guam Fraternity. The organization is established under the rules of the National Order of Secular Franciscans, which is part of the International Order.
