Maryknoll School is honoring the family of the late Arnold Baptiste Sr., founder of the Hawaii Medical Assurance Association (HMAA), as this year’s Noblesse Oblige awardees at the award and scholarship dinner at the Sheraton Waikiki on May 21. Recognized will be Emily Marciel Baptiste, Maryknoll class of ’53, not pictured, Arnie and Joji Jacinto-Baptiste, seated front, and their children, Aleksandre Baptiste Mieger, Cristofer Baptiste and Jason Baptiste, all senior managers at the company. “Noblesse oblige,” the school motto, means, “To whom much is given, much is expected. The Baptiste family has served the community by providing for the health and wellness needs of Hawaii through their family of companies. The family also supports many charitable and nonprofit organizations involved with health and human services, education, and the arts.
