Photo: Secular branch visit

04/27/2022 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

The top leadership of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary paid a special visit to Hawaii’s Sacred Hearts Secular Branch April 10 at Regina Pacis Convent in Kaimuki. Superior general Sister Patricia Villarroel, seated second from the left, and vicar general Sister Aurora Laguarda, standing second from the left, joined the secular branch for adoration, a reception and fellowship. The general government of the congregation is in Hawaii on a canonical visit to the Sacred Hearts Sisters and requested to visit with the lay branch. Sister Villarroel emphasized the importance of the secular branch and other laity who share in the work and mission of the Sacred Hearts Congregation. Hawaii secular branch coordinator Aileen Kupihea reported on the state of her group. She and spiritual mentor Sacred Hearts Sister Dolores Marie Pavao will continue to reach out to the members on Oahu, Kauai and Molokai on revitalizing their communities.
