Good Friday – April 15, 2022
The Good Friday Morning Prayer service is shorter and much more subdued compared to the pageantry and length of the midday Good Friday Way of the Cross service. Morning prayer consists of sung and said psalms and other prayers. Bishop Silva led the April 15 morning service at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Honolulu.

The Celebration of the Passion of the Lord was celebrated at noon at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace. It was a communion service as no Masses are held on Good Friday. This year, one of the petitions was for the end of the coronavirus crisis, and the Veneration of the Cross was done differently. Instead of people touching the cross, it was carried section by section throughout the church for people to stand and bow or kneel in front of.
