Maui holy oils

04/13/2022 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

Students from St. Anthony School, Wailuku, carry the parish holy oils for St. Rita Parish in Haiku and St. Gabriel Mission in Keanae, left, and Christ the King Parish, Kahului, at the Maui/Lanai vicariate Chrism Mass, March 24, at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku. Bishop Larry presided at the liturgy. Representatives from each parish were on hand to receive their year’s supply of holy oils, which were blessed at the Mass, along with Maui’s clergy, religious and Christian faithful. This year, Father Ace Tui, parochial vicar at St. Anthony, recruited parish school students as ushers and to pour, label and carry the oils for each parish.
