Ecumenical Lenten prayer leaders

03/30/2022 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

St. Anthony Church in Wailuku, Maui, hosted an ecumenical Lenten prayer service March 16 with pastors, ministers and parishioners of neighboring Christian church communities. Members of these churches come together for a night of prayer and reflection on five Wednesdays in Lent. The theme of the services, which is held alternately at St. Anthony Church and Iao United Church of Christ in Wailuku, is “God’s Mercy.” Leading the first evening were Rev. John Tomoso, Rev. Roxanne Whitelight, Rev. Tino Cordova, Pastor Wayne Higa and Msgr. Terrence Watanabe, pastor of St. Anthony. (Reported by Agnes Terao-Guiala. Photo courtesy of St. Anthony Parish, Wailuku)
