Announcements/Appointments

  • Bishop Silva hereby notifies all that Jon T. Cabico, ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Honolulu, has petitioned for and received a rescript of laicization, including a dispensation from clerical celibacy, granted by Pope Francis and effective on January 5, 2022. Mr. Cabico remains a full member of the Catholic Church in good standing, but he may no longer function as a cleric or perform priestly ministry. We are grateful for his years of priestly service and pray God’s continued blessings on him.
