Bishop Larry Silva is urging Hawaii parishes to conduct a second collection for the relief for vast areas in south and central Philippines devastated last month by Typhoon Rai.

The death toll has risen to 375 while 56 people remained missing. Hundreds were injured and more than 400,000 were displaced by the intense storm, which made landfall Dec. 16-17.

Send contributions to the Finance Office of the Diocese of Honolulu, marked “Special Collection For Philippine Typhoon Recovery.”
