Sacraments of initiation
Bishop Larry Silva administered the sacraments of Confirmation and first holy Communion to eight children and one adult on Aug. 28 at St. Philomena Church in Honolulu’s Salt Lake district. In the Diocese of Honolulu, the sacraments of initiation are given in the “restored” order of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
