  • September 18, 5:00 pm, Gala at St. Patrick’s Seminary, Menlo Park, California.
  • September 22, 9:30 am, Diocesan Clergy Formation Conference (video conference).
  • September 23, 6:00 pm, Mass to honor Servant of God Fr. Emil Kapaun before his mortal remains are sent to Wichita as part of his cause for Beatification and Canonization, Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, downtown Honolulu.
  • September 24, 2:00 pm, Installation Mass of Bishop Daniel Mueggenborg as Bishop of Reno, Reno, Nevada.
  • September 29, 10:00 am, Meeting of the Bishops of the San Francisco Metropolitan Province, San Francisco, California.

Announcements/Appointments

  • Bishop Silva is pleased to announce that Reverend Joseph Ramelo (Bong) Diaz, Director of Vocations, was officially incardinated as a priest of the Diocese of Honolulu on September 16, 2021. Until now he was a priest of the Diocese of Tagum in the Philippines and has been serving in the Diocese of Honolulu since 2005.
  • The Members of the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation have elected the following as Directors, effective January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024:
    • Reverend Danilo Galang, MS
    • Ouida Yvonne Morris
    • Linda Wheeler (re-election)
