Diocese co-hosting conference online with 9 mainland dioceses

08/18/2021 by Hawaii Catholic Herald

The Diocese of Honolulu is joining nine other dioceses and archdioceses in California and Nevada in an online catechetical conference Nov. 4-6. Save the dates. Registration opens in September.

The theme of the conference is “Hope, Heal, Renew: Our Journey Continues.”

As Christians, we are on pilgrimage — accompanied by Christ on a sacred journey of discipleship. The road has not always been easy, especially in recent months. But our purpose is clear: to be messengers of hope, healing and renewal to all we encounter along the way.

Inspired by the success of the inaugural online conference last fall, the diocesan Office of Religious Education invites catechists and others to join the conference’s uplifting prayer services and liturgies, live interactions with presenters, learning sessions in multiple languages, real-time “coffee talk” conversations with colleagues in ministry, and more.

The conference is co-hosted by the catechetical offices in the archdioceses and dioceses of Fresno, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Monterey, Reno, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Jose and Stockton.

Local host is the diocesan Office of Religious Education. For information contact Chad Chun, cchun@rcchawaii.org.
